Kiptopeke State Park

This Yoga on the Beach Series is presented by Friends of Kiptopeke State Park, a group of people that supports the the Park in programming, operations and sustainable use.  The 560-acre park offers recreational access to the Chesapeake Bay and the chance to explore a unique coastal habitat featuring a major flyway for migratory birds.  Kiptopeke State Park has an area for swimming Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Programs include beach safaris and owl prowls and sessions on fishing, kayaking, crabbing, seine netting, lure-making and campfires.  Special events include First Day Hike, Recycling Day, Kids to Parks Day, Clean the Bay Day and the Eastern Shore Birding Festival Kids Exploration Exhibit.  Click here to view all Kiptopeke State Park's events, festivals, workshops and interpretive programs.

Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center

Across the street from our yoga class, activities are offered year-round at the Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge.  Stop by the Visitor's Center and a friendly volunteer will point you in the direction of some of the best boating, wildlife observation, photography, hiking and hunting excursions Virginia has to offer.  Find out about ongoing and special events on the Refuge's Visitor Activities Page.
